Lavender Hair Rinse by Ellary Allis
Place a brick in the center of a large pot. On top of the brick place a heat resistant bowl. Place lavender in the pot up the height of the brick. Add just enough water to cover the lavender and the top of the brick.
Place lid on pot. Turn on the stove and bring the water to boil. When water begins to boil, add three trays of ice cubes. Reduce heat to a steady simmer.
At 20 minute intervals, quickly lift the lid and test a tablespoon. When you have a quart of water that smells strongly of lavender, you’ve got a rinse!
